Perspective:  We are capable of applying state-of-the-art technology when appropriate – but we also know that more-automated is not always more effective.  We often solve the problem without any additional software or programming involved.  We will help you evaluate your staffing, procedures, and policies as well as your systems (and sometimes find that the best answer is to STOP doing what is expensive and difficult rather than make the difficult easier to do).

We'll have an opinion.  We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all solution to every client – but we do believe many organizations struggle to ‘fit’ their strategy and execution to their expectations.

Growth

Modify to accommodate growth à investment, refinement, extension of existing systems/staff levels

Under/Over invested in systems and staffing.  Rapid growth outpaces staff and procedural elements even where over-investment in technology may have occurred.

Mature

Stabilize à modify to reflect reality – profit is maximized when strategy and expectations reflect limited growth opportunity yet predictable results from operations. refine and document

Focus on next/new tools rather than refinement of existing systems (despite predictions of limited growth, high investment is still contemplated).  Status-quo:  because exciting growth is not planned – no review of procedures, staffing, and systems is made.

Declining

Mobilize and Extend Life-cycle of existing systems.  Look for opportunities to adapt to new products and markets.  Simplify and tune existing systems to extend value with minimal additional investment.

Underinvestment in systems resulting in limited flexibility and overstaffing.  Overvaluing 'life-span' of systems and processes.

Factored into this is years of investment in systems without a measurable return on investment.  All the spreadsheets showing fantastic savings resulting from taking 2 minutes out of the processing time of each transaction didn’t seem to show up in the bottom line.  Some things seem to ‘work better’ but others only got worse.  Another round of the same is not an option.
